With a style reminiscent of pulp fiction covers, Anselmo Ballester’s movie posters of the ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘50s used bold colors, typically depicted just one or two major characters and, like the best advertisements for the cinema, were infused with intrigue, conflict and passion.
